Jack G. Muckleroy, COMT, FCLSA is focused on ensuring our patients have the perfect contact lenses. From power and fit to comfort and maintenance, Jack’s expertise is sought after and appreciated by patients and doctors alike from all over the SA area.
Jack received his ophthalmic training while stationed at the U.S.A.F. School of Aerospace Medicine. He was the Ophthalmic Services Technical Coordinator and had the privilege of working with the early NASA astronauts and the Apollo Program.
He received his certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) from JCAHPO in 1970. Jack is a fellow of the Contact Lens Society of America.
He has lectured and instructed numerous courses for JCAHPO and the Contact Lens Society of America. He has also been a course instructor, lecturer, a board of director’s member and a past president of the Contact Lens Society of Texas.
Jack joined Ophthalmology Associates in 1974 as the Practice Administrator and Contact Lens Specialist.
Jack, his wife, seven dogs, one cat and 13 horses live on a farm near San Antonio. In his spare time, he is an avid fisherman and so-so golfer. He also enjoys being a private pilot.
